The Adirondack Balloon Festival was first created in 1972 by Walter Grishkot. For 45 years, balloonists from across the United States as well as internationally based pilots have attended the annual event for its awe-inspiring views of the Southern Adirondacks. The Festival takes place at the Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport in Queensbury, New York, and features a wide-array of balloons, including special shapes. There is also an exciting schedule of family fun, activities and entertainment.
